"When hackers want to disappear, pity those who become victims."

Technology is increasingly misused by hackers, this time the increasingly popular collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) has attracted cybercriminals to trick victims through fake Pokemon NFT cards.

Reported by South Korean cyber security company Ahnlab and Emergency Response Center (ASEC), cybercriminals are trying their best to trap victims through the NFT by asking users to upload the NetSupport Manager application.

After the victim does so, the criminal can control their computer (PC) remotely as NetSupport Manager has the function to directly access a device without any restrictions.

Although NetSupport Manager is a legitimate application, cybercriminals take the opportunity to misuse the application for their own benefit.

Explained further, cybercriminals who promise lucrative returns through Pokemon card NFT games have become the cause of most individuals falling for their bait.

However, die-hard Pokemon fans will definitely be able to identify the flaws on the fake game cards compared to those who are less interested in it but are still interested in trying out the game.
