"Perhaps with the existence of a special force crypto crimes will not happen again."
In order to proactively investigate cryptocurrency crimes, the National Crime Agency (NCA) of the United Kingdom (UK) is ready to form a new team called the National Cyber Crime Unit (NCCU) Crypto Cell consisting of five officers.
It is reported that government bodies and crypto experts will work together to help the new investigation run smoothly.
According to a spokesperson for the NCA, the crime prevention body has long been involved in combating crypto-crime, but with the formation of the new team, it can focus more on the issue of the digital asset.
He added that crypto, which is increasingly exposed to cybercrime, has become the reason why the NCA often needs to be involved in the investigation of the case.
Please note that individuals with experience in blockchain forensics who wish to work at NCCU should apply for the position by January 10, where the salary offered is estimated to be between $48,200 and $52,400.
Earlier in September, the UK Parliament introduced the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Bill to give police forces the power to stop criminals abusing the UK's open economy.
Meanwhile, the NCA as a whole has seized around £27m worth $33m of digital assets in 2021 to 2022.
