Shares of MyEG Services Bhd surged in early trading today following an agreement signed with East Logistics-Link Co Ltd.

East Logistics-Link is a wholly owned agency of the General Administration of Customs of the Republic of China.

Following the agreement, MyEG and East Logistics-Link will work together to provide a complete chain of cross-border trade facilitation services that include certificates of origin on the Zetrix blockchain platform.

Through Zetrix, MyEG will provide digital services to connect to China's blockchain platform, where the scope of the agreement also covers international exports to Beijing.

In the latest notification to Bursa, MyEG said exporters worldwide can now register to use the service known as Ztrade on Zetrix.com.

Meanwhile, East Logistics-Link expects a significant increase in the speed and efficiency of trade processing with the use of blockchain-related trade data.

As a result, this is seen to benefit all interested parties.

As of 12.30pm, MyEG shares were trading at 77 sen after jumping more than 5% in early trade.
