 Twitter CEO Elon Musk revealed in an interview that various U.S. government agencies. have full access to Twitter user activity, including DMs. This revelation shocked crypto Twitter which indirectly caused the price of Bitcoin and Dogecoin to fall and are now trading low.

He also commented on the disadvantages of artificial intelligence (AI) to humans. He said AI is "more dangerous than poor production maintenance or car production." Musk believes AI has the potential to destroy civilization.



However, Musk has recently introduced his new AI company, called X.AI, to rival OpenAI's ChatGPT.


The crypto community was shocked that the U.S. agency indeed snooping on private messages on Twitter. Some believe the government still has complete access to activities and DMs on other social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Telegram and Google.


Twitter users are now comparing the revelations by Elon Musk to the government surveillance revealed by Edward Snowden in 2013.

Crypto influencer Matt Wallace claims the US government is close to implementing a China-like social credit monitoring system to spy on users' online activities.


All the top cryptocurrencies fell after the news reached the crypto community. Bitcoin (BTC) price broke the $30k psychological barrier and fell to a 24-hour low of $29,816. The price of the second largest Ethereum (ETH) also fell from $2,137 to $2,076.


Elon Musk's favorite Dogecoin price felt the pressure from the Twitter privacy news and fell from a 24-hour high of $0.0915. DOGE price is now trading slightly firmer at $0.092, up over 3% in 24 hours.
