The popular animated franchise The Smurfs known from comics, cartoons and movies is taking a new step by launching a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT) from the Smurf Society.
The Smurfs are not only known in Belgium, but widely throughout Europe, the United States (US) and China following their community spirit and collaboration, commented co-founder and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Arthur Salkin.
According to Frédéric Montagnon, another co-founder of Smurf Society who focuses on strategy for the brand, said that the NFT collection is able to further develop its community across Web2 and Web3 fans.
From April 18 Smurf Society will launch 3,000 NFT units themed Smurfs' Society Legendary Collection, where it brings the characters Papa Smurf, Brainy Smurf and Smurfette into Web3.
Additionally, the NFT collection will consist of 12,500 3D-produced Smurf PFPs and 250 different Smurf characters with 50 unique variants each.
Earlier, the Smurf Society developed a gamified Smurfy built on Polygon and those who adopted it would be rewarded with crystals and able to trade them on the OpenSea market.
Among the game experiences is giving users the opportunity to mint ingredients and if they choose the right ingredients then they can mint ingredients and create crystals, where users will understand more about mint including how it works with blockchain technology.
