Cryptocurrency community and memecoin ardent supporter PEPE has criticized the giant digital asset exchange Coinbase and asked its founder Brian Armstrong to apologize and remove the negative words he did.
Explained in more detail, Coinbase reportedly sent an email about PEPE to its users saying that over time the digital asset will become a symbol of hate.
Not only comparing the Gemini and Coinbase crypto exchange, but "#DELETECOINBASE" recently trended on Twitter when the community was found wanting to delete their Coinbase account if the team still did not remove the rather sensitive statement.
In addition to listing PEPE on their platform to show their support, Gemini also intends to further expand its services in the crypto market globally in the future.
While David Gokhshtein, the founder of Gokhshtein Media and a former candidate for Congress stated that Coinbase could lose the majority of its customers if it continues to disrespect PEPE.
Popular digital artist Beeple also posted a picture of Pepe Army taking over Coinbase while crypto influencers Kenobi, Pauly and Autism Capital said that PEPE is about love, equity and protest against hedge fund backed entities taking advantage of the Web3 community wrongly.
Currently, the community has been pushing Coinbase to delist PEPE in response to misinformation about the memecoin.
As of this writing, PEPE price has plunged by 15.53% to $0.000001634 in the last 24 hours with a market cap of $639 million but is still up 28.38% over the last week.
