"Who knows, maybe Coinbase is starting to see the potential of XRP."

Although its relationship with the United States (US) Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) remains strained, cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase intends to list XRP after meeting with Ripple's Chief Legal Officer (CLO).

After Coinbase CLO Paul Grewal said he would relist XRP during his interview, the host asked if the exchange would be affected if the District Court ruled that the sale of XRP was not a security.

However, Grewal unequivocally asserted that the Coinbase team will evaluate their token listings at scale.

Thus, the crypto exchange can decide whether to remove the digital asset or not without causing any problems to its platform or investors.

Commenting Grewal, many major industry players are currently awaiting the outcome of the pending XRP lawsuit, but Coinbase still plans to list the digital asset.

Last Wednesday, the CLOs of Coinbase and XRP reportedly held a meeting as the two parties pressed the SEC to provide more detailed explanations on the regulation of digital assets.

As of this writing, XRP price jumped by 0.38% to $0.46 in the last 24 hours with a market cap of $24 billion but still recorded a 0.41% decline over the past week.
