"Will the fashion industry conquer the metaverse world in the future?"
LG Uplus Corp, a South Korean mobile network operator owned by LG Corporation successfully launched metaverse fashion marketplace which is an online clothing site where sales are linked to actual products in offline stores.
It is reported that LG Uplus' new metaverse marketplace for fashion items dubbed Meta Slap will officially open this month.
Following on from wanting to develop a virtual clothing store, LG Uplus has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate with Z-Emotion and Ation Fashion which is a local fashion firm operating the Polham casual brand.
While Z-Emotion is a simulation-based costume production software that has allowed the creation of metaverse costumes.
Back to Meta Slap, please be informed that it not only makes but also sells avatar clothing pieces or fashion items that are also available offline.
According to LG Uplus, Roblox, a metaverse platform based in San Mateo California, has revealed that five out of 10 metaverse users dress up their avatars at least once a week.
The companies will link the metaverse fashion marketplace to an artificial intelligence (AI) fitting room so that shoppers can instantly fit items of their choice before buying offline.
It is well known that LG Uplus, Z-Emotion and Ation Fashion from the beginning of this month will inaugurate and jointly run the Meta Slap clothing store that will offer virtual and physical versions of goods.
After shopping on metaverse, buyers will be provided with a link where they can claim the physical version of the product.
