Microsoft announced more layoffs to come after laying off 10,000 workers in January.
The company confirmed the layoffs in response to GeekWire's inquiries, without providing details.
This move is seen as a restructuring of the business division by Microsoft as the fiscal year 2024 has begun.
A Microsoft spokesperson said that organizational and workforce adjustments are a necessary and regular part of managing its business.
He added that it will continue to prioritize and invest in strategic growth areas for the future and support its customers and partners.
Even so, there is no exact information on the number of job cuts in the new round.
Meanwhile on Monday, Microsoft filed a notice saying it would cut 276 jobs in Washington, where 66 of those people work virtually.
