"Wow, I don't think so, remind me that Trump hates crypto, doesn't he?"
Financial disclosure forms submitted to the Office of Government Ethics report that the former President of the United States (US) holds $250,000 to $500,000 in Ethereum (ETH) cryptocurrency wallets.
The wallet is connected to his non-fungible token (NFT) launch that aims to return to the White House in 2024 after his previous defeat to President Joe Biden in 2020.
It is widely known that Trump owns a crypto wallet after he criticized and questioned digital assets and then asserted in July 2019 that he is not a big fan of BTC or other cryptocurrencies.
But after losing his re-election in 2020, Trump went on to tell Fox Business in June 2021 that he was more interested in fiat currency than BTC which was just a scam.
This is because Trump does not like other currencies to compete with the US dollar as he wants the dollar to be the world currency.
However since taking over Congress, Republicans in the House and Senate are in the process of advancing new bills that provide regulations for industry-backed crypto.
In contrast to Trump, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy openly support the use of crypto while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has promised to accept BTC if elected president.
Not only that, Democratic Party candidate Robert F.Kennedy Jr was also found to support crypto by revealing that he and his family own around 14 BTC.
