"It's not an ordinary price, but who wants to pay?"

Former United Kingdom (UK) Prime Minister Boris Johnson reportedly wanted to accept a $1 million payment in either United States dollars (USD), gold or the cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) in exchange for an interview, popular journalist Tucker Carlson said.

Further explained by Carlson, the adviser to the former UK prime minister contacted the reporter and said he would talk to him but it would have to cost him $1 million.

The streak, Carlson has compared the following situation with his recent interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin who did not ask for any payment not even a million US dollars.

According to the journalist, he managed to take over the internet while interviewing President Vladimir Putin in the middle of Russia's ongoing military conflict with Ukraine after getting more than 200 million views on the X social media platform.

It is well known that BTC has been one of the best performing assets of the past decade as its price climbed from a low of $0.003 in 2010 to a high of $69,000 in 2021.

Although BTC is down about 25.5% from its peak in 2021, many analysts expect the digital asset to reclaim its all-time high price soon.

It is possible that Johnson is aware of BTC's excellent performance over the previous decade and expects a similar trajectory in the future plus there is a halving event in April while 11 spot BTC ETFs were approved last month.
