Pixelverse, the Web3 gaming ecosystem finally intends to take steps to add a memecoin character based on the Solana cryptocurrency (SOL) called Cat in the Dogs World (MEW) to the increasingly hyped Telegram battle game.
The positive development is likely to attract a new audience in the Telegram ecosystem, where MEW will be the first SOL-based memecoin to be featured on The Open Network (NOT).
According to Kori Leon, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of PixelVerse, his Web3 gaming ecosystem is not just about creating games, as they are building a retail-friendly brand that is able to attract the attention of millions of people to its product range.
For context, MEW is a cat-based token launched in the middle of the SOL memecoin craze in March 2024 whose market cap managed to peak at $700 million in early April.
Pixelverse estimated to have 35 million active players will earn tokens if they win through robots or in-game characters and it should be noted that other unique characters on the Web3 gaming ecosystem include the Doge character from the Dogecoin (DOGE) memecoin.
PixelTap is one of the latest Telegram games to gain attention after Notcoin and Hamster Kombat and although it has not yet confirmed an airdrop for its players, the project will publicly launch PIXFI tokens on TON.
