Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, has once again survived an assassination attempt in Florida, according to an FBI report.
The attempt took place while Trump was playing golf at his golf course in West Palm Beach, not far from his Mar-a-Lago residence.
The suspect, identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, fled in a black car before being apprehended by authorities.
Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw confirmed the suspect attempted to fire from a distance of 275 to 455 meters using a rifle with a scope.
However, Secret Service agents protecting Trump acted quickly, firing several shots at the shooter.
This is the second attempt to kill Trump. Earlier, he was targeted by a shooter in Pennsylvania, where he suffered a minor ear injury.
Trump, who is now 78, survived both incidents and continues his campaign as a candidate for US President.
