Sabah is indeed different from the rest!
While other states only give bonuses to civil servants who are still in service, Sabah is making a difference by also giving a RM1,000 bonus to retired civil servants.
This announcement was made by the Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, involving more than 13,000 retirees with an allocation of RM13 million.
The assistance will be distributed before Hari Raya Aidilfitri next year as a sign of appreciation for their services to the state of Sabah.
Hajiji explained that retirees have contributed a lot to the state and it would be unfair if they did not receive any appreciation.
This decision was taken after the state government approved the 2024 budget, which also includes a one-month salary bonus for active civil servants.
This step shows Sabah's efforts to be fair to all parties, including retirees.
