Sabah and Selangor recently announced a happy surprise that will surely brighten the day of their civil servants!
In Sabah, more than 18,000 civil servants will receive a bonus of one month's salary or a minimum of RM3,000 in January 2025, with an allocation of RM68.48 million.
Sabah Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, also announced salary adjustments to bridge the income gap, which will be implemented in two phases, namely December 2024 and 2026.
Meanwhile, in Selangor, civil servants will enjoy a bonus of two months' salary!
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said that the payment will be made in two phases, namely on 31 December 2024 and another on 25 March 2025 in conjunction with Aidilfitri.
This is in addition to the one and a half month salary already received before.
These bonuses and salary adjustments not only give new enthusiasm to civil servants, but also have a positive effect on the state's economy by increasing purchasing power.
The governments of Sabah and Selangor are clearly committed to looking after the welfare of civil servants, and this move will certainly provide additional motivation to work harder!
