The Port of Klang reportedly welcomed the arrival of the USS Abraham Lincoln on Saturday, one of the largest and most impressive warships in the world.
The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier stretches over 330 metres in length and is equipped with a large flight deck that can accommodate more than 70 aircraft.
The ship is also famous for being used in the popular film Top Gun: Maverick starring Tom Cruise.
This visit is the first by a US aircraft carrier to Malaysia in over a decade.
The ship, which has a crew of over 5,000 sailors and marines, is excited to explore Malaysia, especially its famous cuisine such as nasi lemak.
Captain Pete Riebe shared that they plan to visit several areas such as Batu Caves and also contribute to the local community by volunteering at schools and care facilities.
Rear Admiral Adan Cruz revealed that the visit is aimed at resupplying the ship after 100 days at sea and to give the crew a good rest
