The Johor government recently announced news that will surely bring relief to the residents of the state.
A 30% cut in the 2025 revaluation tax for 10 local authorities!
This decision was taken after discussions with the Johor Menteri Besar, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, to ensure that the impact of the tax increase does not burden the people in the state too much.
The local authorities involved include Batu Pahat, Muar, Segamat, Pontian, Kota Tinggi, Tangkak, Yong Peng, Simpang Renggam, Mersing, and Labis.
This cut is expected to ease the burden on the people after the revaluation showed an increase in property values of RM29.93 billion (36%) since 2013.
With the adjusted tax rate, Johor shows how the state can manage the increase in property values while ensuring that the people are not squeezed by higher taxes.
This is a smart move to balance economic growth with the well-being of the people!
