Perak civil servants will be smiling broadly this year-end when the state government announces a bonus of two months of basic salary as appreciation for their dedication in ensuring the state’s administration continues to excel.

This bonus payment will be credited on December 20, while village heads will also receive a special incentive of RM400 each.

Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad made the announcement when presenting the largest budget in Perak’s history, amounting to RM1.52 billion, for the year 2025.

Themed “Perak Makmur, Rakyat Sejahtera”, this budget focuses on major efforts to ensure the well-being of the people and develop a brighter future for the state.

The welfare of the people is given priority with more than 6,100 monthly assistance recipients set to enjoy an increase from RM400 to RM500 starting January 2025.

In addition, various new initiatives have been introduced, including the Smart City program that drives technology development and the “Pawsitive Program” for animal welfare, demonstrating the government’s commitment to the well-being of all levels of society.

Although this budget was drafted with a projected deficit of RM81.8 million, Saarani is optimistic that it is a long-term investment that will strengthen Perak’s prosperity.

According to him, this is a strategic approach to ensure that benefits reach all, without compromising on the state’s development.
