China 'Freezes' Boeing, Beijing's Subtle Strategy to Punish America?

Perhaps this issue is a response to Trump's statement that talks with China are taking place 'peacefully and successfully'!

The US-China trade war continues to rage with China's response officially freezing Boeing from accepting any new aircraft deliveries from the American airline giant.

Beijing claims that the US (US) tariffs that have soared to 145% on Chinese goods have "disrupted the global air transport market".

Boeing, which plans to deliver 50 jets to China by 2025, is now facing an impasse.

CEO Kelly Ortberg confirmed that deliveries have been halted due to the tense tariff climate, and warned that the company will be forced to offer the planes to other customers if the situation does not change.

In response to the problem, President Donald Trump strongly criticized China's action for withdrawing from the agreement and urged Boeing to "default on China" for failing to accept the completed aircraft.

China responded on Tuesday, saying the US tariffs had made normal trade difficult and calling for the US to provide a more “stable and predictable” business environment.

For now, the 50 shiny Boeing planes remain idle, caught up in the political conflict between the two superpowers.
