India, today, has ordered Meta to block access to one of the world's largest Muslim news accounts - @Muslim, which has 6.7 million followers.
Instagram users in India can now only see a message that reads "Account not available in India", after the order was received from the Indian government on Wednesday.
However, so far the Indian government has not issued any statement, telling the reason for the order.
Its founder, Ameer Al-Khatahtbeh, condemned this action as "censorship", at a time when India-Pakistan tensions have peaked with missile attacks and 43 lives lost.
Meta also refused to give any comment and only said to refer to their general policy that they will block any content if requested by the government on the basis of "local laws".
India has also blocked the accounts of Pakistani celebrities such as Imran Khan, Fawad Khan, Atif Aslam to cricketer Babar Azam as well as several YouTube channels from Pakistan on the grounds of "provocation".
Meanwhile, President Trump urged India and Pakistan to stop fighting and offered to be peacemakers in the war.
