In just one night, Russia launched 165 drones across Ukraine, causing fires in residential areas and injuring at least 11 people in Kyiv, including two children.
The drones were specifically targeted in three districts of the capital, Obolonskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi, which were affected, with a 12-story building on fire.
The incident caused a commotion, forcing residents in the area to rush out of their homes and rush to find shelter in the middle of the night.
South of Kyiv, the city of Cherkasy was also shelled, destroying houses, warehouses and even garden structures.
The Ukrainian military claimed to have shot down 69 drones, but another 80 disappeared from radar, raising concerns about undetected damage.
Russia later uploaded unverified footage purportedly showing an attack on Ukrainian military positions in Kherson.
This attack is seen as a mental pressure tactic – destroying the people's morale before destroying the country.
