Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi voiced strong opposition to Israel's military attack on Iran in a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

El-Sisi stressed that Egypt completely rejects Israel's continued military action, which he described as a major threat to security and stability in the Middle East region.

The call came as the conflict between Israel and Iran entered its second week, with both sides still launching airstrikes and missiles.

He also called for an immediate ceasefire and stressed that this crisis can only be resolved through political negotiations, not military action.

President Pezeshkian expressed appreciation for Egypt's stance, which he described as wise, and supported diplomatic efforts to end the conflict and bloodshed.

The Egyptian government is now trying to reactivate diplomatic channels to ease the escalating tensions in the Middle East.
