Malaysia Successfully Breaks into 23rd Place in the 2025 Global Competitiveness Report

Malaysia showed excellent performance in the 2025 Global Competitiveness Ranking Report when it jumped 11 places to 23rd place.


This positive development marks the country's biggest success in five years after being in 34th place last year.


In a post on his Facebook page, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated that this performance is a clear indication of the success of the reform efforts driven by the MADANI government.


Anwar also stated that this success is proof that Malaysia is able to rise with political determination, government commitment and private sector cooperation supported by strong economic performance and investment.


He also said that this achievement belongs to all Malaysians and is an important foundation towards making the country one of the most competitive economies by 2033 for the future of our children.


Malaysia is now in 6th place in International Trade after recording an increase of 11 places.
