PROTON's first electric vehicle (EV) model, the e.Mas 7, has recorded the highest sales of 3,632 units sold in five months.
Since its launch in January 2025, the Proton e.Mas 7 has recorded sales of 3,399 units in the local market and 233 units for export, making it the fastest-selling EV model in the country's automotive history.
In a short period of time, the e.Mas 7 has managed to solidify its position as a leading player in the rapidly growing EV segment in Malaysia, despite facing the challenges of price competition in the market.
PRO-NET Chief Executive Officer, Zhang Qiang stated that the group's strategy is on track, reflecting confidence in the Proton e.Mas brand and is proud to be a leader in this wave of change.
Qiang said PRO-NET is committed to building an ecosystem that supports the use of EV vehicles in the daily lives of Malaysians, thus ensuring that the EV ownership experience becomes easier and smoother.
He also discussed Proton e.Mas providing over 3,100 public charging points which are displayed on the e.Mas 7 Integrated Direct Charging Map and e.Mas app with 90 percent coverage worldwide.
Proton e.Mas currently has 44 showrooms with 32 of them operational to ensure EV customers nationwide receive the best support.
