Malaysian Palm Oil Exports Increase to 1.26 Million Tons in June 2025!

Malaysian palm oil exports recorded an increase to 1.26 million tons in June 2025, compared to 1.21 million tons in June 2024, 1.17 million tons in June 2023 and 1.19 million metric tons in June 2022.


According to a statement by the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) yesterday, palm oil inventories rose to an 18-month high, reaching 2.03 million tons in the same month.


The MOPC also stated that in the first half of 2025, Kenya became the second largest buyer of Malaysian palm oil, surpassing European Union (EU) countries by 21,000 tons and China by 117,000 tons.


Kenya remains a major growing market driven by increasing domestic consumption with over 90% of its palm oil imports used for food consumption.


Crude palm oil (CPO) prices are expected to remain firm between RM4,100 and RM4,300 per tonne next month on demand in conjunction with Indian festivals and rising US soybean oil prices.


The firm also discussed the recovery in global vegetable oil prices driven by soybean oil prices which have surged 19% since January, outperforming mustard seed oil (6.6%), palm oil (3.7%) and sunflower oil (1.7%).
