Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has safely arrived at Orly International Airport, Paris to begin a two-day official visit at the invitation of French President, Emmanuel Macron.
Anwar was welcomed by French Ambassador to Malaysia, Axel Cruau, while Malaysia was represented by Ambassador to France, Datuk Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim.
The two leaders are expected to discuss bilateral relations and explore new cooperation in trade, defence, education, investment, tourism and people-to-people ties.
The discussions will also cover regional and international issues of mutual interest, including the ASEAN-France Development Relations, the ASEAN-European Union Dialogue Relations and conflicts in West Asia.
He is also scheduled to attend a roundtable meeting with leading French industry leaders to highlight potential trade and investment opportunities.
France is Malaysia's largest trading partner in the EU and a major contributor to high-tech investments worth $3.63 billion in 2024.
