Gamuda Bhd has strengthened its position as a leader in the country's construction sector with a total contract value of RM34.6 billion as of the end of April 2025.
RHB Investment Bank Bhd analyst Adam Mohamed Rahim stated that Gamuda is expected to reach an unbilled contract of between RM40 billion and 45 billion by the end of this year, based on the current rate of RM1 billion.
Adam said that Gamuda is also involved in a renewable energy project in Australia that has the potential to become a full contract by the end of this year, and the contract value is expected to increase if it successfully secures a 157.4-hectare land tender in Negeri Sembilan.
Among the projects to be announced in the near future include the Sabah water supply scheme worth RM3 billion to RM4 billion as well as five data center tenders in Elmina and Puncak Alam.
According to RHB Investment Bank Bhd, Gamuda is expected to benefit from a re-shift to domestic projects, with local revenue increasing to 60% by financial year 2027 compared to 29% in 2025.
In the nine months ended July 31, 2025, the company managed to record a profit of RM663 million, up 6.0% year-on-year, supported by contributions from overseas projects.
