Berjaya Food Bhd (BFood) recorded a net loss of RM291.9 million for the financial year ended June 30, 2025, compared to RM90.9 million in the previous year.
The company's annual revenue declined 36.5% to RM476.8 million compared to RM750.7 million in the financial year 2024.
This decline in revenue was due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia which affected market dynamics and consumer spending patterns.
In this regard, management had to make depreciation provisions on plant and equipment (PPE) assets and right-of-use assets (ROU) following the reduction in Starbucks Malaysia operations.
BFood also recorded a net loss of RM185.8 million for the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2025, up from RM38.2 million in the previous period.
Quarterly revenue also declined 11.2% to RM115.9 million from RM130.4 million due to a reduction in the number of stores in operation.
The company is now focusing on market diversification and restructuring of domestic operations to strengthen the core business and support sustainable growth.
