Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that Malaysia will channel additional aid worth RM100 million to help the Palestinian people.
Anwar stated that the allocation is in addition to the announcement two years ago aimed at rebuilding Gaza.
The statement was made when he spoke at the Malaysiaku Gathering and Prayers with Gaza at Dataran Merdeka.
Anwar also urged large companies in the country to channel aid to support the reconstruction efforts.
He also stressed the importance of the people's unity to reject division, build a prosperous country and be an example to the world.
Young people are called upon to rise up to defend the country's sovereignty to ensure that the homeland remains independent, continues to progress and is able to defend the oppressed people, including in Gaza.
