Local milk producer, Farm Fresh is now expanding its wings abroad by penetrating the Cambodian market.
According to Chief Operating Officer Azmi Zainal or more popularly known as 'Boss Susu', Farm Fresh received a proposal from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim himself to supply fresh milk to Cambodia.
This was following the conflict that occurred between Thailand and Cambodia until the Cambodians boycotted products from Thailand, thus creating a critical problem with the supply of fresh milk.
As the ASEAN Chairman and concerned about easing the conflict, PMX assessed the solution to the issue by proposing that Farm Fresh supply fresh milk products immediately to Cambodia.
Unexpectedly, the high demand for Farm Fresh milk caused sales to sell out within just a week after being placed in supermarkets.
Dairy products such as pasteur, Aus Fresh and yogurt are the main choices of Cambodians.
Now it is reported that they have also received orders from cafes and hotels in Cambodia who are increasingly showing trust in Farm Fresh milk products.
The conflict between the two neighboring countries has opened up great opportunities for local companies to meet the needs of foreign markets.
Azmi also shared his gratitude to PMX and MITI on his social media for helping Farm Fresh expand its influence overseas.
Cambodia is now the 4th country in Southeast Asia to receive Farm Fresh supplies besides Singapore, Brunei and the Philippines.
This is a proud achievement for local dairy companies that are actively expanding their overseas markets.
