Since 2024, Malaysia has channeled over $42 million (RM177 million) in humanitarian and recovery assistance to Gaza, demonstrating the country's continued commitment to the Palestinian people.

Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan stated that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) remains the vital lifeline for Palestinian refugees in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan.

He also urged UN member states to ensure that the agency's mandate is not disrupted, by continuing to support UNRWA so that humanitarian aid to Gaza is not interrupted.

Mohamad Hasan stressed that Malaysia will continue to work with Jordan, Egypt and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to launch the effort.

The statement was made when he spoke at the Meeting of Ministers Supporting Palestine today.

Since last year, Malaysia has contributed $17 million (RM72 million) through the Palestinian Humanitarian Trust Fund.

An additional $25 million (RM100 million) was also channeled, in line with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's announcement at the Malaysiaku Bersama Gaza Gathering and Prayer Night at Dataran Merdeka last month.

Malaysia will continue to support the mandate of UNRWA to ensure that Palestine refugees in the affected areas receive continuous assistance and protection.
