Michael Saylor, the world’s largest Bitcoin holder through his company Strategy, has continued to buy the crypto asset despite BTC’s small rise in price last week.

According to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Tuesday, Strategy acquired 1,955 Bitcoins worth $217.4 million between September 2 and 7.

The purchases were made at an average price of $111,196 per token, while the price had surged above $113,000 on Friday before falling to around $110,000, according to CoinGecko data.

With this new acquisition, Strategy now holds 638,460 BTC with a total value of around $47.2 billion at an average price of $73,880 per token.

The purchase follows a series of purchases in August totaling 7,714 BTC, but the amount is significantly lower than previous purchases including 31,466 BTC in July and 17,075 BTC in June.

The latest purchases were funded by three equity offerings from Strategy, including Perpetual Strife (STRF) Series A Preferred Shares, Perpetual Strike A (STRK) and the company’s own Common A Shares (MSTR).

The latest move comes days after Strategy was delisted from the S&P 500 index on Friday, defying expectations that the company would be included on the prestigious list.
