US President Donald Trump and Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang will visit Malaysia next month in conjunction with the 47th ASEAN Summit.


Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin is seriously considering attending the meeting.


Anwar stated that despite the tariff issue, Trump has confirmed his presence in Malaysia next month via phone call, while Li Qiang is also expected to attend.


During his meeting with Putin in Beijing, the Russian President announced that he is considering attending Malaysia.


This high-level visit highlights Malaysia's growing geopolitical importance, despite global uncertainties.


The statement was made when he spoke at a dinner in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Ambank Group.


The event was also attended by Chairman Emeritus and Honorary Advisor of Ambank Group Holdings Bhd, Tan Sri Azman Hashim.
