The BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) targeted subsidy system is now being expanded to registered boat users in Sarawak, after being introduced to boat users in Sabah and members of the Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority (LKIM) last week.

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) in a statement announced that the MADANI Government will implement improvements in stages to ensure that BUDI95 continues to benefit the people comprehensively.

According to MoF, based on data from the Sarawak Rivers Authority and relevant state government agencies, BUDI95 eligibility has been activated for more than 1,400 registered private boat users in the state.

For full-time e-hailing drivers, MoF has cross-checked data with the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD), involving more than 53,900 individuals who now receive a maximum ceiling of 600 litres per month.

Meanwhile, more than 11,400 driving licence holders are also eligible for the BUDI95 initiative.

This number includes 11,200 new drivers who obtained licenses and 260 drivers who renewed their licenses, making more than 16 million Malaysians now benefiting from the implementation of BUDI95.

The MADANI government remains committed to ensuring that this targeted subsidy program runs smoothly and directly benefits the people.

MoF together with relevant agencies will continue to monitor the implementation of BUDI95 and implement improvements from time to time.
