Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is scheduled to make an official working visit to the White House on November 18, where he will meet with US President Donald Trump.

The news was confirmed by a White House official on Monday.

The visit comes as Trump seeks to convince Saudi Arabia to join the group of countries that have signed the Abraham Accords.

In 2020, Trump reached agreements with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan to restore their relations with Israel.

However, Saudi Arabia is still cautious and is not ready to fully engage without a clear commitment to the creation of a Palestinian state.

In an interview with CBS's '60 Minutes' program that aired on Sunday, Trump expressed confidence that Saudi Arabia will eventually join the agreement.

The Financial Times reported two weeks ago that there was hope that the two countries would sign the agreement during the Crown Prince's visit to the White House.

Trump and Mohammed bin Salman are also expected to discuss a potential security agreement between the US and Saudi Arabia.

A senior Trump administration official told Reuters that there were talks to sign an agreement during the Crown Prince's visit, but the details were still in the negotiation stage and had not been finalized.
