Tensions between Israel and Lebanon are escalating after Israel launched a new series of airstrikes on Lebanon yesterday.
According to the Lebanese National News Agency, the attacks took place in the mountainous areas in the south and east of the country.
The situation is seen as threatening the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon signed in November 2024 after Israel violated the agreement through this latest series of attacks.
The Israeli army, meanwhile, stressed that the operation was aimed at targeting Hezbollah infrastructure sites, including a military complex used by the group to conduct training.
In a separate statement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they had attacked a Hezbollah member in the Taybeh area, southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah also strongly condemned Israel's actions for violating the ceasefire agreement, while reiterating their right to defend the country from any form of aggression.
So far, the attack has reportedly claimed two lives, with one of the victims located about 30 kilometers south of Beirut.
Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect, the Ministry of Health reported that around 340 lives have been lost due to the ongoing Israeli attacks.
