Retail Prices of RON97 & RON95 Petrol Decreased Until December 24

The retail prices of non-subsidised petrol for RON97 and RON95 throughout Malaysia decreased by three sen and two sen, respectively, now costing RM3.24 and RM2.62 per litre, effective from December 18 to 24, 2025.


According to a statement from the Ministry of Finance (MOF), the price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia has also been reduced by four sen to RM3.02 per litre, while prices in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan remain at RM2.15 per litre throughout the same period.


The price of subsidised RON95 petrol under the Budi Madani RON95 (BUDI95) programme remains at RM1.99 per litre.


The government stressed that it will continue to monitor developments in the world oil market and adjust the retail prices of RON97, RON95 and diesel petrol to ensure price stability and protect the interests of consumers.


Quoting a BERNAMA report, the weekly petroleum price determination is made according to the Automatic Price Mechanism formula, in line with the country's petroleum product pricing policy.


The government is also committed to taking proactive steps in dealing with changes in world crude oil prices to safeguard the welfare and well-being of the Malaysian people.
