Continue Protests in Iran, Aid on the Way – Trump

US President Donald Trump urged Iranians to continue their violent protests against the government and urged them to reveal the identities of those who attacked civilians.

Trump also insisted that aid was on the way, despite the Iranian authorities' increasingly harsh crackdown on the biggest riots in recent years.

He also announced that his party had canceled all meetings with Iranian officials until the brutality against protesters stopped.

In a statement, Trump urged Iranians to remember the names of those involved in the killings and abuses because they will suffer the consequences.

An Iranian official said that around 2,000 people had been killed during the protests that have gripped the country for more than two weeks.

The US human rights agency HRANA confirmed that the death toll had reached 2,003 people, most of whom were protesters.

In addition, the number of individuals detained has now reached more than 16,700, a figure much higher than initial reports.

At the same time, when reporters tried to clarify the claim that “aid is on its way,” Trump refused to provide further details and asked them to judge for themselves what it meant.

Meanwhile, the US State Department urged American citizens to leave Iran immediately, including by land to Turkey or Armenia.

In an interview with CBS News yesterday, Trump vowed to take strong action if the Iranian government continued to act violently against protesters, but he avoided giving detailed explanations.
