Popular TikTok star Khaby Lame has sold his company, Step Distinctive Limited, in an all-stock deal worth $975 million, paving the way for the development of an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered digital twin.
According to a report by Business Insider Africa, the deal involves a partial acquisition and a strategic partnership with Rich Sparkle Holdings that was announced last week.

Through the deal, Rich Sparkle has acquired exclusive rights to all of Khaby Lame’s commercial activities for a period of at least 36 months, including brand endorsements, licensing, e-commerce and strategic partnerships.
As part of the deal structure, Khaby Lame remains involved as a shareholder and creative partner.
Rich Sparkle estimates that the partnership has the potential to generate over $4 billion in annual sales, driven by Lame’s global influence and digital commercial expansion.
Khaby Lame, who has around 360 million followers across various social media platforms, has also approved the development of an AI-powered digital twin.
This digital twin is a virtual replica that mimics the face, voice and behavior of a real individual, enabling multilingual content creation and virtual streaming on a global scale.
The development of this technology is seen as a strategic step to expand the content e-commerce model, expand audience reach and maximize the commercial value of the Khaby Lame brand in the global digital ecosystem.
