Berjaya Assets Bhd has appointed Tan Tee Ming as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Berjaya Assets, effective 1 January 2026.
The decision was made after the previous CEO, Norlela Baharudin, resigned to pursue personal interests.
According to Berjaya's statement to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Tee Ming, who is the brother-in-law of the company's Executive Director, Chryseis Tan Sheik Ling, holds an indirect interest of 1.09 million ordinary shares in Berjaya Assets.
Tee Ming holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from King's College London and has held various positions in several private banks in Malaysia and Singapore.
In addition, he also has over 16 years of experience in wealth management for high-net-worth individuals.
Tee Ming was also appointed as Senior General Manager of Berjaya Land Bhd's Property Sales and Marketing Division on 18 March 2017.
After almost 6 years in the position, Tee Ming was promoted to Executive Director of Berjaya Land on 1 April 2022 before resigning on 31 December 2025.
At 5pm yesterday, Berjaya Assets shares remained unchanged at 30 sen with 161,500 shares traded and a market capitalisation of RM767.48 million.
