Elon Musk announced that X Money, a new payment system on the X platform, will be launched in a limited beta in 1–2 months before being opened to users worldwide.

The system is expected to be the center of all financial transactions, making X more than just a social media or messaging app.

Musk explained that X Money is part of his vision to make X an ‘everything app’, an app for communication, AI, content, and finance.

He wants users to be able to ‘live fully in X’, from sending messages to managing money.

The system is expected to support fiat currencies first, with the integration of cryptocurrencies such as Dogecoin possibly coming later.

Musk has emphasized that payments have been a passion of his since the acquisition of Twitter in 2022, and this idea actually stems from his early experience founding X.com, which later became PayPal.

In addition, Musk also shares developments in the field of AI through his company xAI.

The Macrohard data center in Memphis, Tennessee is now being expanded with an additional 220,000 GPUs, enabling faster and more sophisticated AI model training.

Musk emphasizes that massive computing power is key to developing high-quality AI that will be used in apps like X and Grok.

With the launch of X Money and the expansion of AI, Musk seems serious about making X a complete ecosystem, from social to financial, making the app increasingly important in users’ daily lives.
