Russia has insisted that the country has no plans to attack Europe, but is ready to give a full-scale military response if faced with a threat or attack.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that Moscow has no reason to launch an attack on any European country.
However, Russia will respond using all available military capabilities if Europe chooses to start an armed conflict against Russia.
According to him, any military action against Russia will be responded to in accordance with the country's defense doctrine, which allows for a comprehensive response to defend national sovereignty and security.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously stressed that his country is not at war with the West directly, but instead considers the Ukrainian conflict to be a proxy war instigated by Western powers.
He also stated that Russia has never had the desire to go to war with Europe.
However, Putin warned that any military action by Europe against Russia would receive an immediate and firm response, thus reaffirming Moscow's stance to defend its strategic interests in an increasingly tense geopolitical atmosphere.
