Ahead of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, the MADANI government announced that the Phase 2 Cash Contribution (STR) payment scheduled for next April will be distributed starting tomorrow (Tuesday).
The government has reportedly allocated funds of RM1.3 billion to five million recipients.
The announcement was made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim when he attended a meeting with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) in Putrajaya, today.
Anwar stated that the STR payment was expedited to enable consumers to make preparations ahead of the Aidilfitri celebration next week.
Meanwhile, he also announced that the 2026 Special Financial Assistance (BKK) payment of RM500 will be distributed on March 13 to civil servants Grade 15 and below, including contract employees.
According to Anwar, the BKK of RM250 will be distributed to government retirees and veterans, whether they are pensioners or not on that date.
For the category of mosque, surau and religious school teachers, the government will distribute assistance to imams and related personnel on March 13 in the amount of RM500, involving a total of 70,000 people.
