Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stressed that his country will not send troops to Iran since tensions in the Middle East do not directly affect their security.

According to Tusk, Poland is not planning any military expedition to Iran and this decision has not caused any government among its allies.

He also explained that Poland's current priority is to strengthen the country's land, air and naval forces following the ongoing conflict on the Ukrainian border.

The statement reportedly received support from the United States (US) and other powers that understand Warsaw's stance.

Earlier, President Donald Trump urged his allies to help the US reopen the Strait of Hormuz after Iran allegedly continued a series of attacks on the strategic route.

The urge came as tensions between the US-Israel and Iran entered their third week.

Several other US allies including Germany, Italy and Spain also explained that they have no immediate plans to send military assets to open the Strait of Hormuz.
