The Johor government insists that it will not allow any organisation to use the state as a base to spread ideologies that contradict the law, sovereignty and interests of Johor and Malaysia.
Johor Menteri Besar, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, has ordered the Home Ministry, Immigration Department, Royal Malaysian Police and Customs Department to conduct an immediate investigation into the Network School operating in Forest City following allegations of Israeli involvement.
According to him, the investigation must focus on the identity, nationality and use of second passports by individuals linked to the community. All their immigration passes and travel documents must also be checked to ensure there are no violations of the law.
At the state level, the Iskandar Puteri City Council, the Johor Land and Mines Office and related agencies have also been instructed to review compliance with licensing requirements, land use, building regulations, accommodation and business activities carried out.
Onn Hafiz stressed that strict action would be taken if investigations found any violations of the law, misuse of immigration passes, violation of license conditions or any activity that could affect national security and the interests of Johor.
The controversy over Network School first gained attention in October last year after Nas Daily promoted the community through a video recorded at Forest City.
New allegations about the presence of Israelis at the location sparked attention again in May, while Forest City announced that an official statement would be issued soon.
