BUDI95 users can now enjoy the basic eligibility limit of 300 litres of subsidised RON95 per month, compared to 200 litres previously.
The change comes into effect on 1 September 2026 and provides an additional 100 litres to eligible users.
Limit Back to 300 Litres
This new limit actually restores the original BUDI95 quota which was previously set at 300 litres per month.
The limit was then reduced to 200 litres from April 2026 as a temporary measure to manage fuel supply and demand.
With this increase, users who use more RON95 for daily activities have more space before reaching the monthly limit.
The price of subsidised RON95 also remains at RM1.99 per litre.
Who is Eligible?
The basic eligibility for BUDI95 is given to Malaysian citizens who have a MyKad and an active driving licence.
For existing recipients, the adjustment to 300 litres will be made automatically and does not require re-application.
More Space for Daily Use
The 300 litre quota provides more space for consumers who need to use vehicles for commuting to work, daily errands or long journeys.
For example, if someone uses 100 litres in a month, their remaining entitlement is still 200 litres.
Overall, this increase gives more flexibility to the people in managing their use of subsidised RON95, especially those who rely on vehicles for daily travel.
