The solidarity fund established to assist former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has raised RM9.25 million so far; however, an additional RM40.75 million is still required to meet the RM50 million target.

Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi stated that this figure was recorded as of 10:00 AM, and fundraising efforts are ongoing to reach the set amount.

**Another RM40.75 Million Needed**

According to Zahid, the crowdfunding campaign will continue, and he hopes that more supporters and relevant parties will contribute to help achieve the target.

He noted that the RM50 million sum must be raised before the house arrest arrangement for Najib can be fully implemented.

Zahid stated that efforts to increase the collection are underway, and he hopes further contributions will be received soon.

**Linked to House Arrest**

The solidarity fund was established following the decision by the Federal Territories Pardons Board to allow Najib to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest until August 23, 2028.

According to Zahid, the RM50 million target is the amount required based on the Pardons Board's decision.

With the current collection standing at RM9.25 million, the fund still needs to raise RM40.75 million to meet the target. Fundraising efforts are expected to continue until the full amount is secured.

Zahid also urged friends and supporters to help boost the collection in order to reach the established target.
