US Presidential candidate Joe Biden criticizes President Donald Trump's administration for allegedly slowing down the Covid-19 vaccine.
According to Biden, the distribution of vaccines is the biggest operational challenge facing the US as a nation.
The Trump administration aims to distribute the vaccine to its 20 million people by the end of this week.
To date, only 2.1 million people have received the vaccine, according to data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
"The Trump administration's plan to distribute vaccines is still far behind," Biden said in a speech yesterday.
Biden added that he would do everything he could to bring the US back on track.
Meanwhile, Trump in response to a statement by Biden via Twitter said, each state has the right to distribute the vaccine as needed as soon as the vaccine is sent by the Federal government.
"We are not only developing vaccines including spending money to ensure the process runs fast but to ensure that the vaccine is delivered to every state," Trump said.
Earlier, Biden promised to ensure that 100 million Americans receive the vaccine within the first 100 days of his administration.
