The Prime Minister of the UK, Boris Johnson was a little disappointed with what happened and warned the European Union (EU) on Wednesday that the demand proposed by the EU was unreasonable.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has traveled to Brussels on Wednesday to hold face-to-face talks with European Commission President Ursula Von Der Leyen as a last resort to sign a trade agreement and avoid any unrest within the next 3 weeks.

Both sides consider the meeting to be an opportunity for successful trade talks between the EU and the UK before 31 December.

Johnson said Brussels proposed that the UK comply with the new EU law in the future or if it persists then stern action will be taken. At the same time, the EU insists that they will give the UK sovereignty over the waters but with such conditions.

Johnson is confident that the proposal will not be accepted by any UK minister. He added that a good deal could be done if the EU canceled its claim. Finally the UK is ready to move forward without a trade agreement.

The GBP still maintained its strength against the US dollar with a 0.80% strengthening to the 1.3459 exchange rate.
