British drug regulators have advised that people with a history of allergies should not get the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine after there were 2 individuals reporting adverse effects on the first day of its launch.
It is common knowledge that Britain began vaccinating its population on a massive scale last Tuesday starting with the elderly and frontline workers.
According to National Health Services medical director Stephen Powis, the advice was put forward after 2 NHS employees reported anaphylactoid reactions related to vaccine intake.
While the Drug and Health Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) said that the advice is a preventive measure because the reaction is not one of the side effects found during the trial process.
However, Pfizer UK and BioNTech do not want to comment on the issue.
